How to pick

1. Choose the country. The country that issues the document, not the one you live in. A Mexican passport renewed in Texas is under Mexico. A US visa for a citizen of India is under United States.

2. Choose the document. Passport, visa, ID card, residence permit, driving license and more, depending on the country. The spec for that document (size, head height, background, digital or print) shows on the card.

3. Take or upload the photo. The camera opens with that document preselected. Distance, tilt and light guidance run while you line it up. Then the AI crops to size, replaces the background and runs the initial check.

What happens next

    • My document is not listed.
      Email hello@passportphotos.ai with the country and the document name. If the authority publishes a spec, we add it.
    • Can one photo be used for two documents?
      If both use the same size and rules, yes. A US passport and a US visa both use 2 x 2 inches. A US passport and a UK passport do not; take the photo once and order each document separately, the crop is different.
    • Do foreign passports need a digital file or a print?
      It depends on the country. The document card says which. Where the authority accepts a digital upload, our file is made to its pixel and file size limits.
    • Is the guarantee the same for every document?
