Who we are
PassportPhotos AI is run by Biometric Photos LLC, at 11 East 86th Street in New York. The same company has run PassportPhotos.com since 2020. This site is the next version of that service: the photo is taken on your phone with live guidance, software does the cropping and checks it against every published rule before you pay, and the file is released the moment you pay.
We are a private company. We are not part of the US Department of State, USCIS or any government, and we never say a photo is "approved" by anyone but the authority that receives it. What we say, and mean, is that photos taken with PassportPhotos AI comply with standards recognized by the US Department of State, and that every rule was checked before you paid.
How we check our facts
Every document page on this site carries a technical details table, a last updated date, and the names of who wrote it and who reviewed it.
Written by the PassportPhotos AI team. The people who run the service write the pages. There is no invented expert with a made up title; when a page says reviewed by, it names the person on the team who checked that page against the official source.
Reviewed by Asaf Jacobi. Asaf is the founder and has run PassportPhotos.com since 2020. He reviews every document page against the official source before it goes live and again when the source changes.
Sourced from the authority. US rules come from travel.state.gov and uscis.gov, linked at the bottom of each page. Other countries' rules come from the issuing authority's published specification, named on the document card. If our page and theirs ever disagree, theirs wins, and we want to hear about it at hello@passportphotos.ai.
Updated when the rules change. The last updated date on each page is real. When the State Department changes its photo page, ours changes and the date moves.
What we do not do
- No counters we cannot back up. When this site has real reviews, they will appear with the count and the source. Until then, the guarantee does the talking.
- No press logos we did not earn.
- No changes to your face. Crop, size and background only. Retouching, if you add it, removes temporary blemishes and dust and nothing more.
- No use of your photo for anything but your order. Deleted 30 days after delivery, never used to train AI.
